The Canada 6/49 jackpots usually start at more than the guaranteed
$3.5 million and increase every draw until the jackpot is won. In October
2005, the jackpot reached $54.3 million. Average jackpot payout's have been
greater then $11 million. Without a winner, the jackpot increases on
average $5 million from draw to draw. If there are multiple winners,
the jackpot is divided equally among them.
To play, you can either select the lucky numbers you play on each
ticket or chose the quick-pick option to have the lottery computer pick your
numbers at random. When you play specific numbers, you select 6 numbers
from 1 to 49.
You can win in any of 6 ways and overall chances of winning are 1
in 32. Remember, jackpots are lump sum and paid tax free. What would
$11 million dollars do for you?
* Your chances are based on a minimum play of 5 tickets.
Chances of winning increase as you play additional tickets.
** A percentage of the sales proceeds from this lottery sales are
allocated to this prize category. The total allocated amount is divided
