The Canada 6/49 jackpots usually start at more than the guaranteed $3.5 million and increase every draw until the jackpot is won.  In October 2005, the jackpot reached $54.3 million. Average jackpot payout's have been greater then $11 million.  Without a winner, the jackpot increases on average  $5 million from draw to draw.  If there are multiple winners, the jackpot is divided equally among them.

To play, you can either select the lucky numbers you play on each ticket or chose the quick-pick option to have the lottery computer pick your numbers at random.  When you play specific numbers, you select 6 numbers from 1 to 49.
